As Universal Orlando continues rolling out new entertainment, the parks have looked pretty different than we remember them.

Not only have Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure have been open, but Volcano Bay has also been a great spot to cool off in the water (even during some of Florida’s hottest days).
As Universal Orlando has continued to make changes in its parks to protect guests and Team Members, Volcano Bay will be reducing its hours of operation again. Starting September 8th throughout the rest of the year, Volcano Boy will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Although the calendar currently shows the dates listed as “sold out,” the waterpark won’t be open for guests to visit.

Universal has previously reduced its hours of operations to close an hour earlier. But select Universal parks have actually extended their hours for the last two Saturdays in August.

Here’s a look at the continuation of the Tuesday and Thursday dates in December.

Even though Volcano Bay will be cutting its hours. the other Universal parks have seen an increase in their attendance.
And we’ve returned recently to see a Beetlejuice room and a whole new case of Halloween Horror Nights treats at the Tribute Store. We’ll continue to keep an eye on all sorts of updates coming to Universal Orlando!

I wish Disney would have taken this approach to slower than expected guest turnout instead of cutting park hours as they did.
