Update! Walk-In Restaurant Availability and Wait Times Removed from the My Disney Experience App

Eating in the Disney parks has certainly changed a bit with socially distanced character meals, and requirements to stay stationary while eating.

Mobile order has also become key to grabbing a quick bite in the parks. Recently, we saw a new dining feature added to the My Disney Experience app, but it looks like things in the dining world have changed again!

Unable to grab a dining reservation at one of your favorites or simply didn’t plan for one in advance? We shared with you yesterday that you could now check walk-up availability and wait times for certain table service locations using a new feature on the My Disney Experience app. Yesterday, we could see a new “Now” tab on the app.

That would then allow us to see what expected walk-up wait times and availability were for certain restaurants.

Today, however, this new feature seems to have disappeared. When we went to check the app, no “Now” tab appeared. Instead, we could only look for restaurants available for Brunch, Lunch, Dinner, or specific times.

We selected the “Lunch” tab just to see what appeared, but we didn’t see any walk-up dining wait times, even for spots like Whispering Canyon Cafe, where we spotted walk-up availability yesterday.

We’re not sure what has caused this change, but we’ll definitely let you know as we learn more.
