Splash Mountain has captured our attention yet again!
The Magic Kingdom attraction in Walt Disney World has been in the spotlight lately. It was recently announced that the ride will be turned into a Princess and the Frog attraction. This prompted Splash Mountain fans to flock to the gift shop and buy out the ride’s merchandise. But yesterday, we noticed the water ride was completely drained!
The My Disney Experience app noted that Splash Mountain was “temporarily down.” This could have meant a number of things. Perhaps the ride had to stop for inclement weather or it had maintenance issues. We stopped by the attraction today to see if we noticed anything else new!
Well, that didn’t last long! The ride is full of water and taking guests on a journey to the briar patch again.
It’s unclear what prompted the ride’s drainage. We’ll continue to watch for more Splash Mountain updates in the future!
