Walt Disney World is scheduled to reopen in phases starting with Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11th and continuing with EPCOT and Hollywood Studios on July 15th.
Some Disney World hotels have reopened with bus transportation transferring guests to properties already open like Disney Springs, but so far the rest of Disney’s transportation options have not been available.
Last week, we confirmed with a Cast Member that the monorail, Skyliner, and other modes of transportation outside of the bus system will most likely not be available until July 11th. And a recent tweet from reporter Scott Gustin has provided dates for when each of the modes of transportation are set to resume operation!
Update on transportation at WDW:
Monorail (MK) set to open on July 11. Monorail (EPCOT) does not currently have an opening date.
Skyliner set to open on July 15.
Resort boats at Poly/Wilderness open July 11.

Scott stated that the Magic Kingdom Resort Monorail and resort boats to Disney’s Polynesian Resort and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will start operating on July 11th.The Skyliner is set to open on July 15th, and the Epcot Monorail, Sassagoula boats, and Friendship Boats do not yet have opening dates.
It’s important to note that these dates are subject to change, and we will continue to keep you updated with any further information! If you’ll be attending one of the Annual Passholder previews prior to the parks reopening, be sure to keep in mind that you will need to provide your own transportation to and from the theme parks, as Disney will not be providing transportation for those dates!

We are scheduled for arrival at Pop Century August 12. Staying 6 nights. I don’t have little ones, so I’m kinda looking forward to a scaled back, slower paced Disney vacation.
So how are people getting from the MK parking lot to the park entrance for Passholder Previews?
I hope they open the Epcot monorail and friendship boats by the end of month. Staying at both the Poly and Beach club and had assumed transportation would be normal.
