These Four Walt Disney World Resort Hotels Have a Sneaky Secret

We like to think of ourselves as Walt Disney World ace investigators around here, tracking down all of the secrets that the World has to offer. Case number one on the docket for today: the case of hidden transportation to Disney Springs.

Tell us your secrets!

Yes, that’s right; there’s even more ways to get to Disney Springs for your shopping and eating binge than just the Disney World bus system. If you’re a guest staying at four specific Disney World Resort hotels, you can take advantage of some alternative ways to get to the Springs for your last-minute merch shopping spree or Homecomin’ reservation.

Saratoga Springs Resort

If you’re staying at Saratoga Springs Resort, you can walk along a beautiful waterfront walkway and bridge to get to Disney Springs without having to wait on any transportation! To find the walkway, head to the Congress Park area in the Resort’s southeast corner.

Right before you cross that bridge, you’ll probably spot another transportation option: The Sassagoula Steamboat CompanyIf you don’t want a side of walking with your walking that you’ll be doing at Disney Springs, you can opt for these open-air water taxis that will ferry you across the Sassagoula River to Disney Springs.

The boats embarking from Saratoga Springs will drop you off in The Landing section of the shopping and dining complex. The ferries don’t just run between Saratoga Springs and Disney Springs, though.

You can also choose to take this special boat transportation from Old Key West, Port Orleans — Riverside and Port Orleans — French Quarter. Boats leaving from Old Key West will dock at The Landing, while the two Port Orleans Resorts have a line to The Marketplace (if in doubt, just follow the flags).

The operational sign before you get to the dock will tell you which boat to be on the lookout for

If you’re staying at any of these four Resorts and you want to get to Disney Springs, just know that you’ve got more options than the bus to get there.
