Since its launch in November of 2019, Disney+ has offered new users a free seven-day trial, typical of what you may see with other streaming services.

Now, it seems as though Disney has quietly stopped offering this service, as reported by The Verge.

Just weeks ahead of the highly anticipated release of the hit Broadway musical Hamilton, Disney has stopped offering new users a free one-week trial. Instead, new users must pay immediately upon signing up to use the streaming service.

New users must choose between at least one month of Disney Plus for $6.99 per month, or they can pay $12.99 per month for a bundle which includes Hulu and ESPN Plus.

Hamilton will arrive to Disney+ on July 3rd and is expected to draw in a large viewership. The massive Broadway box office hit was originally slated to be released in theaters in the fall of 2021, but was bumped up to streaming this summer. At this time we don’t know if Disney has plans of reintroducing the free trial offer in the future!

Here’s everything coming to Disney+ this July!
