UPDATED! You Can Still Make Hotel Reservations at These Two Disney World Resorts

UPDATE: On June 8th, Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts announced that they would be closed through July 29th.

The Disney World Resorts will see some pretty big changes when they reopen from new cleaning protocols to reduced amenities (and even a few surprises).

Disney World has also stated that new hotel reservations will not be taken during this time so it can focus on guests who have previous bookings.

However, we actually found a way that you can still make a new booking for the parks’ reopenings on July 11th and July 15th! The Swan and Dolphin are directly under the Marriott company and partner with Disney. That means that you can still book the hotels through Marriott’s website!

Currently, there is availability throughout the entire month of July.

The Marriott website states, “In order to better serve our guests during the temporary closure of Walt Disney World Theme Parks and hotels, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin will close effective Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at 12:00pm EST through July 5, 2020.” However, we were able to access reservations for the resorts starting July 1st.

There are different room options available to book, but availability at the resorts may change depending on which room type you choose. There is also a higher demand for hotels with the parks’ reopening happening soon.

After you’ve booked your room at the Swan or Dolphin Resort, you can link your confirmation number into the hotel reservation section on My Disney Experience! Plus, you can check out all the other important information about why My Disney Experience is going to be an essential tool during your stay.

Disney Resort guests will be given first access to the new theme park reservation system, and that includes Disney’s Swan and Dolphin and Shades of Green.
