Disney Springs has opened its third-party restaurants and stores today with Disney-owned locations following next week on May 27th.

While we’ve already shown you what parking, temperature checks, and more are like, we’re taking you with us LIVE to check out the procedures at all the quick-service and table-service restaurants that are open!

Disney Springs has reopened with specific health and safety protocols that different locations on-property must follow during this time.

These protocols include:

• Limited parking and reduced entrances
• Temperature screenings prior to entry
• Face coverings required for everyone
• Physical distancing practices including physically-distanced queues and physical barriers
• Temporary operation modifications, including reduced hours at select locations and no scheduled entertainment offerings or high-touch interactive areas
• An increased focus on disinfecting and sanitation, including the addition of hand-washing stations and hand sanitizers in key areas
• A move towards cashless transactions

Quick Service Dining

Starbucks has reopened its in-person stores in Disney Springs with a NEW drink to match!

Since Starbucks locations closed in March, reusable cups haven’t been used at different locations. Although Disney Springs has reopened, reusable cups are still not allowed at Starbucks for the time being.

After you place your order, there is a specified waiting area for food and drinks to keep physical distance between customers and Cast Members. When your name is called, a helper will grab your order and bring it to the waiting area so guests don’t walk up to the windows to grab their items.

If you’re in Disney Springs today, you’re going to want to stop by Starbucks to get the Welcome Back drink! The mango and dragonfruit flavors are refreshing and sweet combined with the pineapple ginger syrup, strawberries, blackberries, and more!

We noticed that many different locations, like the Polite Pig, will be using contactless QR menus for guests to view when they visit. If you open your camera app and focus it on the QR code, the menu will pop up so you can decide what treat you’d like to get!

Polite Pig has put out signs to separate guests and lower the amount of tables available to distance people. The Cast Members have branded masks, and they deliver silverware to your table. However, paper towel dispensers are still available.

Sauces are still available for guests, but you have to ask your server for which kind you would like. They will serve it to you instead of the “help yourself” option previously employed. A Cast Member confirmed that Gideon’s Bakehouse Cookies are currently not in stock at the restaurant (but we hope they’ll return soon!).

The restaurants we saw around Disney Springs also had designated distancing markings on the ground.

Joffrey’s Coffee had guests wait outside…

…before letting them inside the store to stand on the coffee bean-shaped waiting stickers. There were six beans on the ground, and one party was allowed to stand on each bean.

A Cast Member informed us that a state regulator visited the store to help train employees before re-opening.

After you’ve received your coffee, you cannot sip on your drink inside the shop. However, you can walk around Disney Springs and have your coffee.

According to Cast Members, you can have your masks lowered while you’re eating or drinking if you have food or drink in your hands.

Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC is open to guests who want a treat or two. The bake shop has distancing markers on the ground…

…so traffic can be controlled before people enter the bakery!

Chicken Guy! was a pretty busy spot in Disney Springs all day long.

The restaurant had designated signs on the floor for distancing to keep guests at six feet apart from one another.

After you’ve placed your order, someone will call your name and a Cast Member will bring you your food and drinks.

Sunshine Churros is back open to serve all you Disney churros lovers out there!

The kiosk has moved to a completely cashless system, so be sure to bring your debit, credit, or Disney gift cards with you if you want a churro!

After a long day of walking through Disney Springs, sometimes you just need a sandwich. And, Earl of Sandwich has re-opened for guests to visit! Just like many other restaurants around the Disney Springs area, Earl of Sandwich had a Certification of Sanitization up on its wall for everyone to see.

The Carlo’s Bake Shop inside Earl of Sandwich also had cakes, cookies, and other goodies available for purchase.

If you’re looking for a quick way to cool off, YeSake has re-opened…

…along with Häagen Dazs so you can get a cool drink or some ice cream while you shop!

Table-Service Dining

When we arrived at Frontera Cocina, Cast Members informed us that they had come back early for safety training, but that they still wanted it to be a “fiesta.”

At this time, the restaurant is offering both QR code menus for guests…

….as well as paper menus.

Our server said they hadn’t decided yet which they would be using more often, but that both might remain available.

Frontera used regular glasses with agave straws, which the servers would show you where they touched the straw before you took off the paper covering.

The Boathouse is requiring guests to have masks on at all times, unless they are seated at their tables.

Training packets were sent out a week ago to restaurant workers before they were brought in prior to opening for training.

The runners change out gloves in between tables, and the chefs have 15-minute timers where they stop, wash their hands, and change their gloves. A Cast Member told us that employees were given the choice if they wanted to come back right away.

While The Boathouse has always had disposable menus with the date printed, they are just not passing them onto the next guest visiting anymore. The silverware was also cleaned and wrapped in cloths while Cast Members were wearing gloves, so nobody came in contact with the utensils.

All of the servers had gloves at The Boathouse, even when they were handling food and beverages.

While we were there, we dined on some crab cakes…

…and truffle fries…

…while we sipped on the Beach Hippie IPA…

…and the famous Rubber Duck Drink! The Boathouse will also make you a drink to go, but the bars themselves aren’t open yet.

Wine Bar George has also opened back up with its quick kiosk available for drinks in the front…

…as well as indoor dining inside of the restaurant. Before guests enter, they are asked to stand on the markings on the ground to wait.

The check-in area has plexiglass to distance Cast Members and guests…

…as well as a QR code so visitors can take a look at the menu while they wait.

We spotted hand sanitizer all around the restaurant for guests employees to use…

…as well as hand wipes provided to anybody dining at the restaurant!

The restaurant is also using paper straws and disposable napkins with regular silverware on the inside.

While some of the menu items have been reduced, the Saganaki on Fire is still available! But, now they let you do the squeeze of lemon on your own. The server also put on a fresh pair of gloves to drop off our check.

Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill has also opened! Today, the restaurant was running a 45 to 60 minute wait for walk-ups of 2 or less people. The wait is longer for parties with more guests. Wolfgang has also opened up its gelato spot, along with an entirely new menu of Grab and Go eats and cocktails. Although the cocktail drinks were inside previously only, they have moved outside too now.

The Grab and Go items were previously on the lunch menu. However, the menu now has all-day offerings, so they wanted to offer lighter lunch options for the Grab and Go section. The cups and bottles used at Wolfgang Puck are washed between each guest. The menu is paper with reduced options for the time being.

The Cast Members came in early for safety training and to arrange tables as well as put sanitizer at every bus station. Pens are used once before sanitizing, runners wear gloves consistently, servers wash their hands before and after serving, and pens are only used once before sanitizing.

Wolfgang Puck is also offering a few new treats if you happen to stop by! You can try the new Reese’s Cookie…

…Strawberry Shortcake Pudding, Salted Caramel Banana Pudding…

…and Kakamora’s Dart Cocktail, based off Moana!

STK Orlando is seating guests indoors and outdoors of the restaurants currently…

…with a paper menu that has reduced options for both lunch and dinner.

However, STK is offering take-home options for guests to have ready to make dinner options at home! All of the Cast Members at STK are wearing gloves during this time, even if they aren’t handling food and beverages.

STK Orlando is also using a new credit card tool that guests can use themselves as a part of a move towards contactless payment methods across Disney Springs.

While Planet Hollywood will be reopening, its hours have been moved to later in the evening for late-night bites and drinks.

Guests are now able to visit the restaurant from 4 PM until 9 PM daily.

Although there were safety precautions in place at dining locations in Disney Springs, we did notice there overall wasn’t as much explanation behind the procedures. When we visited Margaritaville in Universal CityWalk, the servers explained each choice the restaurant made, how food and beverage would be handled, and what they would be doing to keep up with health and safety guidelines. While they were doing many of the same procedures at Disney Springs, in general, they were not explained as much throughout the experiences.
