The Baby Yoda Plush Has Arrived! Spoiler Alert: It’s WAY Cuter Than the Concept Art!

This afternoon, I received a strange package from ShopDisney.com on my doorstep, which was weird because I didn’t remember ordering anything. Well, it turns out my dear old Dad had decided to surprise me because this was waiting for me.

Oh yes, that’s who you think it is. The Mandalorian “The Child” Plush that went on pre-order ages ago had arrived.

I’ll admit, I was worried about this guy because of the concept art…

So, I was pleased to see how adorable the finished product actually was!

Look at that face!

The head and hands are made up of soft vinyl. Firm enough to stand up to play, but soft enough to have some give for cuddling.

The box doubles as a display case, but good luck getting him back inside once you’ve taken him out!

He’s dressed in his trademark robes with fur trim, and is the perfect height to pick up and hug, or to carry around on your next trip to Galaxy’s Edge.

He’s one Baby Yoda head taller than your average DVD case.

Speaking of cuddling, he’s SUPER soft, but that softness comes at a price. You see…

DUN DUN DUN!

To allow Baby Yoda to stand up, his entire lower half has been removed and replaced with a BEAN BAG. It’s one of the first things you notice picking him up. If feet on your Baby Yoda is a dealbreaker, you might need to spring for the Scentsy Buddy.

  1. I don’t think this article is entirely accurate. I pre-ordered mine from shopdisney when they got announced. Just got it today and it’s not the vynel head one but the soft plusie head one. Also it did not come with any sort of packaging. Just the plushie in a shopdisney shipping bag.

    1. Upon further investigation. The all plush one is the Disneystore.com version. The on with the vinyl head is the Hasbro version.
