While we eagerly anticipate the second season of The Mandalorian on Disney+, we just got exciting news of another series to fill the Baby Yoda-shaped hole in our lives.

While our minds are busy theory-crafting how a fan-favorite character and this new player will fit into the story, Disney is giving us a little glimpse into the production process in a new documentary series coming soon to Disney+!
Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian is an eight-part documentary series that will be rolling out on Disney+ beginning on a day very special to Star Wars fans — May 4th! Hosted by Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau, the series will take us behind-the-scenes to see how a show like The Mandalorian goes from concept to our television screens (and our hearts).

The series will see Jon Favreau speaking with the cast and crew of the beloved series, taking a look back at how it was made, and what it was like being featured in a show that became such a pop culture phenomenon.

Each episode will explore a different facet of the show, featuring interviews, along with behind-the-scenes footage. Topics will include the technology behind the show, along with the practical models and effects, the iconic score, and much more!

The series will premiere on Monday, May 4th, with new episodes to follow every Friday on Disney+!
