Disney has had at least one show on Broadway for the last 25 years. Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Disney on Broadway with a new stream.

Newsies, a Disney Theatrical Production

Originally, the stream of Celebrating 25 Magical Years of Disney on Broadway was to air on April 13th, but due a contractual disagreement between Broadway Cares and the American Federation of Musicians, the show was canceled. Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is a charitable organization that the Broadway community put together to fight HIV and AIDS.

The previously recorded Broadway Cares Concert, Celebrating 25 Magical Years of Disney on Broadway, will now be streaming on April 17th at 7 pm EST on the Broadway Cares YouTube page. Money raised during the stream will go towards the Broadway Cares COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund.

The stream will be hosted by Ryan McCartan from his home and there will be interviews throughout the stream with Disney Broadway stars. Celebrating 25 Magical Years of Disney on Broadway was originally performed in November of 2019 and raised over $570,000 for Broadway Cares. Below are some highlights from the original performance.

We can’t wait to see the full show on Friday April 17th!
