Disney Instagram Accounts You’re Probably Not Following–But Should Be!

Social media has brought us closer together through cat videos and to debate whether pineapple goes on pizza or not. It’s also allowed all us Disney fans from across the world to celebrate everything to do with our favorite places on Earth!

From Disney Imagineers to restaurants, we’re bringing you some of our favorite Instagram accounts that you should be following if you want to take a deeper dive into that Disney life!

Joe Rohde

If you’ve walked through Disney’s Animal Kingdom and admired the attention to detail on the Tree of Life, you have to tip your hat to Joe Rohde. He has put his stamp on everything from Expedition Everest to Pandora–The World of Avatar.

On his Instagram page, Joe has been posting creative exercises and insights behind the design of the parks. If you enjoy some old-fashioned history, you should check out his page.

Josh D’Amaro

Even if you don’t know Josh D’Amaro by name, you definitely have seen his work in the parks! He is the current President of the Walt Disney World Resort, but before that he also worked as President of the Disneyland Resort.

Josh spends a lot of his time on Instagram sharing stories with some of the Cast Members that make the magic happen and photos of special events.

Walt Disney Archives

With so much history behind the Walt Disney Company, the Walt Disney Archives were established in 1970 as the one-stop shop for Disney history.

The Walt Disney Archives are part of D23, the official Disney fan club. On their Instagram, you can find fun throwbacks to historical Disney dates and even a March Madness-style tournament!

Piano Rob

While strolling about the Boardwalk, you’re liable to wander into Jellyrolls to hear Rob Volpe slinging tunes in a dueling piano style.

Rob mostly devotes his Instagram posts to vacation shots and generally having a great time in Disney World, just like some us! Recently, he has also been sharing live streams of some performances from home!

Jerrod Maruyama

You remember those Hipster Mickey Ears that were released last year? They’re thanks to Jerrod Maruyama’s artistic stylings.

On his Instagram, Jerrod displays a lot of his illustrations of Disney characters, from Lilo and Stitch, to Lewis and Wilbur Robinson from Meet the Robinsons.

La Cava del Tequila

We may not be able to visit the resident tequila bar at Epcot right now, but we can still get a taste of some of their libations at home right now.

This week, you can learn how to make some of the tasty concoctions from La Cava del Tequila’s mixologist live on their Instagram.

Disney Pets

If you needed another reason to get an Instagram account, the Disney fur-babies have their own special page. Disney Pets is devoted to all things animals, so it might get a little hairy in there!

They have everything from new pet merch announcements to dogs in Disney costumes. Yeah, this might be a new favorite or ours.

Disney Books

While we’re all stuck inside, it might be time to run through our backlog of paperbacks.

If you need some good recommendations, Disney Books previews some of the latest novels inspired by our fandom.

Bob Gurr

The man, the myth, the legend Bob Gurr has helped create some of our favorite Disney attractions since he worked on the 1964 World’s Fair. When you step into a bobsled or a Doom Buggy, that’s Bob’s handiwork.

As a walking fount of knowledge and history of the Walt Disney Company, Bob’s Instagram is a great place for behind-the-scenes looks and funny anecdotes.
