Disney+ Has Officially Made Its European Debut!

Disney+, the popular streaming service, has officially made its debut in most European countries today, allowing Disney fans around the continent access to hit shows like The Mandalorian.

However, the long awaited release of this service comes with a few setbacks, including reduced picture quality and a delay in France.

Due to the ongoing global closures and requests for social distancing to flatten the curve, streaming quality across Europe has been reduced to compensate for the higher internet traffic. Fortunately, people stuck at home still have plenty to watch — just not necessarily in high definition.

Also, due to a request from the local government, the service will not launch in France until April 7th. This is likely to allow local authorities to prepare for the surge in internet usage as record numbers of people are forced to work from home.

The service will cost £5.99 in the UK, and €6.99  throughout the EU.
