With both Disney World and Disneyland parks closing due to the Coronavirus, Disney is doing everything it can to protect cast members and guests during this time.

And, while that means not letting anybody go into the parks, it also means that few beloved Cast Members will have to make their way back home as well.
On March 16th, the Disney College Program, Disney Cultural Exchange Program, Disney Culinary Program, and Disney Academic Exchange Program will be suspended temporarily as a Coronavirus precaution. On top of the cultural exchange participants, the International Cast Members working at Guest Relations will also have their time working for Disney interrupted at the moment.

Since the programs are being suspended, the Disney Program housing will be closing its doors for the time being. The participants in the programs must pack their belongs and leave by March 18th, although they will be paid through the end of the month with the weekly housing deductions waived.

The Disney Program participants will automatically receive successful program completion so they can be eligible for future opportunities with Disney.

Suspending the college program was a total surprise and such a disappointment. My daughter loved working for Disney and and to say the least she is devastated. Moving out so soon has been very difficult. I have such compassion for the international students as well . Breaks my heart.
