Disney Cancels Red Carpet for “Mulan” European Premiere Due to Coronavirus Outbreak

The World Premiere of Disney’s Mulan took place at the historic El Capitan theater earlier this week, giving us a stunning view of the stars of this fantasy epic. Unfortunately, if you were hoping to see an encore for the European premiere, it looks like there have been some changes.

Due to concerns over the novel Coronavirus, the red carpet portion of the European premiere has been canceled.

According to Deadline, instead of a traditional red carpet premiere, the London premiere of Mulan will be a closed screening event .

According to a statement from the studio, “In an abundance of caution we are downscaling this evening’s premiere of Mulan and will no longer have a media line or red carpet, we will however continue to host the premiere screening as a contained inside screening event.”
