Sneak Peek at What’s Coming to the 2020 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival in Disney!

The 2020 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is almost here! We love the topiaries, the classes, the merchandise… but the best part has got to be the food!

Boudain Ball

Today, we got a sneak preview at some of the delicious eats that Disney will be cooking up in their outdoor kitchens, and March 4th cannot get here soon enough!

Fresh Flavors at the Outdoor Kitchens

Like all Epcot festivals, each country has a booth dedicated to local cuisine, with a delicious twist! We posted complete menus a few days ago, but now we’ve got a chance to sample and learn about some of the food in-person!

Garden Graze

There’s a new food challenge at the festival this year, similar to the Cookie Stroll from Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays Cookie Stroll. It’s called the Garden Graze and it’s eating your way through five plant-based items at the fest.

Miss Piggy

The five items are the Grilled Baby Vegetables at Flavor Full Kitchen, the Potato Pancakes at Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market, the Impossible Farmhouse Meatball at Trowel & Trellis, the Pineapple Skewer at Refreshment Outpost, and the Watermelon Cucumber Slushy at Florida Fresh.

Lady and the Tramp

If you complete the challenge, you’ll be rewarded with a mango limeade Dole Whip dessert served in a terrarium souvenir glass, along with a packet of seeds.

The media preview let us try a few things from the fest, including an item from Flavor Full Kitchen. Sponsored by AdventHealth, this booth is all about hearty healthy choices you can make at home, including Grilled Baby Vegetables with Hummus Cream! The chefs will be grilling these up on stage at the Festival.

Magnolia Terrace

The Gulf Coast is more than just Florida, which is why Magnolia Terrace (which is a new booth for the festival this year) offers down-home Southern and Cajun cuisines like an old-fashioned seafood boil with mussels, crawfish, and sausage.

Or check out this simultaneously unique and classic Boudin Sausage Two Ways dish! Dive into a house-made sausage with dijon mustard AND a sausage and rice ball with a cajun remoulade.

Another sure-to-be hit are the Grilled Oysters with Cajun Butter. These are going to be grilled right in front of guests during the Festival!

For dessert, Magnolia Terrace offers both a Pecan Cake and a Pecan Praline, which is pictured below!

All the food can be paired with a variety of brews that will be offered at the booth, all originating from the south!

If you can’t make up your mind, Magnolia Terrace is also offering up a Beer Flight of all three brews!

Finally, Refreshment Port is getting sweet this year with a Popsicle Trio! The flavors are Honeydew, Raspberry-Mint, and Coconut-Lime. Yum! These are a perfect sweet and refreshing treat for a Florida spring.

  1. Awesome review, the beer from Broussard is actually called “Ghost in the Machine”, just to avoid confusion if anyone is looking for it. It’s my friends brewery and I’m STOKED that he’s being featured at Flower & Garden!
