We just got a sneak preview of what to expect from the parade, and couldn’t be more excited to bring you some of the new details we learned!

The Floats

Magic Happens features 9 new floats that celebrate moments of magic in Disney stories! The first of the floats is called A Swirl of Magic and features Mickey Mouse standing in front of a giant version of his magical hat. Get this, not only is the hat gorgeously painted, but it also lights up!

The A Wave of Magic float features Moana surrounded by the magic of the ocean. You can even catch a familiar face swimming along in the water. Plus, Maui follows along on his own little float too.

After that, the Coco float, A Bridge to Magic, will float by. We think this float is so pretty with all of the marigolds and it features Miguel in person for the first time.

It wouldn’t be magic without Elsa, so the Frozen 2 float is up next. It’s called A Magical Forest and features Anna and Elsa along with Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf as they explore the magic of the woods.

Then comes the parade’s finale. A Magical Dream features four floats that celebrate magical moments from classic Disney stories. First up, is Cinderella in The Pumpkin right when it turns into a carriage.

The Sword and the Stone float follows her featuring Arthur and Merlin right at the moment that the soon-to-be-king pulls the sword from the stone.

Then, Tiana and Naveen arrive on The Kiss to show the romantic moment that they transform back into their human forms.

Finally, the tallest float in the parade arrives with The Once Upon a Dream featuring Sleeping Beauty, Prince Phillip, Flora, Fauna, and Merriweather. Get this, Aurora’s dress actually changes between pink and blue!

The Costumes

Let’s take a look at some of the costumes too! The Magic Happens costumes were inspired by fashion on the runways so the clothes are super stylish and really cool.

We are big fans of the purple and blue color scheme, and think they fit in so well with the theme of Sorcerer Mickey!

The Music

The music for Magic Happens features two original songs. The first is the theme, appropriately called “Magic Happens.” This upbeat pop tune was written by famous entertainer, Todrick Hall.

The end of the parade features a beautiful finale score too. The score includes nods to past Disney entertainment productions like the “Remember the Magic” parade as well as “Wishes” and “Remember…Dreams Come True” fireworks shows.

The Dining Package

We also got to learn a little bit about the accompanying Magic Happens Dining Package. With this add-on, you could enjoy lunch at the Plaza Inn before receiving a voucher for reserved seating at the parade. How exclusive!

We also go a preview of the merchandise, which features an awesome Sorcerer Mickey-theme! The concept for Magic Happens has been two and a half years in the making, so we can’t wait to see how it turns out when the parade debuts on February 28th!
