We’re Taking a Closer Look at the New Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway Marquee in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

We are exactly one month out from the opening of the much-anticipated Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway ride in Hollywood Studios!

Earlier today we reported on the addition of the ride’s very own marquee at the Chinese Theater, and now we’re taking a closer look!

The new sign went up late last night, and we couldn’t wait to see it in person this morning! The theme of the sign matches pretty well with the replica of the Chinese Theater and it feels very “vintage movie premiere.”

The marquee also looks like it has a pretty spectacular array of lights on it! From the look of it, you’ll be able to see Mickey and Minnie waving at you when the lights go on at night.

We can’t wait to see what it looks like all lit up, but there’s no telling if that will be tonight, when the ride opens on March 4th, or sometime in between! We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for those Mouse names in lights!

  1. That does look good and fits in perfectly. Is this ride going to be like the Remy ride? You know how Disney and Universal tend to find a new way of doing things and then everything the build from that point on is a repeat of that tech until they come up with the next thing. I’m expecting nothing but trackless rides for a while. I can’t wait for the motion simulator phase is long gone, at least we’re getting back to actually moving through a building. Motion simulators are the laziest excuse for rides that you could possibly have IMO and boy do we have enough of those. Viva la Omnimover! lol
