Just outside of the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks lies our favorite place to visit when we are looking for a respite from the hustle and bustle of a busy park day. Disney Springs is the dining, shopping, and entertainment destination of Walt Disney World Resort — and we think it’s a must-do while traveling “the World.”

Join us as we share six reasons Disney Springs should be on your must-do list!

The Food

Some of the best dining options available at Walt Disney World Resort are located in Disney Springs. In fact, there are currently 60+ dining venues in Disney Springs!

If you’re looking for an elevated dining experience, make your way over to STK Orlando, Morimoto Asia, or Paddlefish.

Guests traveling with little ones or families looking for a “themed” experience can find a fun, one-of-a-kind meal at T-REX or Rainforest Café.

Other fan favorites include Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant, The Polite Pig, and Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’.

After dining, don’t forget to stop by Sprinkles to indulge in a delicious, sweet treat. While there, be sure to check out their cupcake ATM. Don’t let the name fool you, this isn’t a regular ol’ ATM. The Sprinkles cupcake ATM doesn’t give you money — it takes your money and gives you a cupcake instead!

Disney Springs is an absolute foodie’s dream come true as there is always something new to try and experience.

The Entertainment

Disney Springs currently offers 25+ entertainment venues and options which are available daily! Guests can experience everything from karaoke under the stars and the NBA Experience to Cirque du Soleil shows, live entertainment, and virtual reality venues.

Aerophile “The World Leader in Balloon Flight” experience allows guests to soar over the Walt Disney World Resort skyline in the world’s largest, hand-painted helium balloon.

There are entertainment options for guests of all ages, and there is plenty to do for guests who need some time away from Disney-inspired venues. We know folks need a break from Mickey Mouse sometimes (even though we don’t share the sentiment)!

The Shopping

There is no better place for shopping at Walt Disney World Resort than Disney Springs. With its 100+ shopping locations, you are sure to find something on everyone’s wishlist.

Disney Springs is home to the largest Disney character store in the world. At approximately 51,000 square feet, World of Disney is the ultimate shopping destination for Disney fans of all ages.

Guests can also find stores such as Vera Bradley, Zara, Pandora Jewelry, and Coach while visiting Disney Springs.

We recommend allocating some of your Disney budget for your visit to Disney Springs, as you’ll definitely want to shop until you drop!

The Music

The “Marketplace Stage” in Disney Springs’ Marketplace area is home to live shows, special events, and great music! Guests can enjoy live entertainment in this open-air venue every day and night.

This venue is conveniently located across from the World of Disney shop and offers plenty of first come, first serve seating. It is surrounded by various grab-and-go snack windows in case you get the munchies.

By day, you can be entertained by Disney Performing Arts dance troupes, and by night, you can dance and sing along to the sounds of live music. The musical acts featured at night rotate often and are comprised of regional and local fan favorites!

It’s Great for Kids

Disney Springs is not only awesome for adults but for kids as well! There is plenty for kids to do at Disney Springs. Some of our favorites are the Coca-Cola Polar Bear photo op experience in the Coca-Cola Store, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (yes, there’s a location in Disney Springs!), bowling at Splitsville Luxury Lanes, and the Marketplace Carousel!

Disney Springs is always FREE to visit! There is no entry fee for Disney Springs. Additionally, parking in any of the Disney Springs garages and surface lots is complimentary. Guests looking to valet park their vehicles can do so for a small fee.

Bus transportation to and from Disney Springs and the Walt Disney World Resort hotels is complimentary as well, making it easy to visit while staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.
