The Seeds Have Been Planted for Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival in 2020!

Are you longing for springtime? Well, worry not because Disney has just released details for the 2020 edition of their popular Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival!

Epcot during the Flower and Garden Festival

There’s new and returning topiaries, play areas for the little ones, and plenty of outdoor kitchens where you can get your munch on! Lets take a look!

Sensational Shrubs

2019 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival Topiaries in Norway

Topiaries are a popular part of the festival, and many of our favorites from previous years will be returning! Anna and Elsa will grace the Norway Pavilion, Donald Duck and friends near the Showcase Plaza, Buzz Lightyear near Mission: SPACE… But there’s also a new edition joining the France Pavillion this year!

It’s Remy, the star of Ratatouille! In celebration of the upcoming Ratatouille attraction at Epcot, Remy will be getting his very own tribute in the France Pavilion. We’ll have photos as soon as the festival opens this March.

Glorious Gardens

Gardens like this one have always been a major part of the festival.

Epcot will bloom with life and color as garden exhibits blossom all over the park! Classics like the Twinning’s Tea Garden and the Floating Mini Gardens will return, along with some interactive selections. Children can train to be a toy at Bo Peep’s Playtime Training Ground, or learn how to “bee” a good friend at the Plant a Garden Perfect for Pollinators exhibit.

Delectable Dishes

While not as popular as the Food and Wine Festival, the Flower and Garden Festival has no shortage of snacks.

Like all Epcot Festivals, the Flower and Garden Festival will feature kitchens serving freshly made, gourmet treats. These are a step above your typical theme park fare, and definitely worth a stop by during your visit. Be sure to check in later for more coverage of the best dishes of the festival!

Marvelous Music

The Garden Rocks concert series is a highlight of the festival, and Disney has already announced this season’s lineup!  Highlights this year include the Pointer Sisters, Plain White-Ts, and Simple Plan. This year, Garden Rocks will be playing seven days a week, and you can book a dining package at one of four locations around the park to guarantee your seat! Biergarten, Coral Reef, Garden Grill, and Rose & Crown are all on the list this year, letting you indulge in whatever way you please! We recommend Garden Grill, as they’ll be serving fruits and veggies grown in the Land Pavilion! What better way to celebrate the festival than by eating some locally grown treats?

The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival will run from March 4th  to June 1st, giving you plenty of time to enjoy some spring fun. Meanwhile, you can enjoy the Festival of the Holidays, running through the Holiday season, and the Festival of the Arts beginning January 17th!

We’ll hope to see you there this spring! In the meantime, don’t forget to leave a comment!

  1. This used to be such a quiet and uncrowded time to visit WDW before the the flower and garden show came to town. It was our second favorite time after the last part of September. Don’t hate the thing, but would dump it in a heartbeat to get rid of the crowds. Same now goes for the food and wine festival. It’s become an uncontrollable monster that just keeps growing and sucking in more and more visitors (the drunk and disorderly type) to a once peaceful slow period.
