Okay, it’s safe to say that if you’re a Star Wars fan, you’re as obsessed with Baby Yoda as I am.
With the highly anticipated release of The Mandalorian on Disney+, fans were ecstatic to find out that the story involves Yoda as a child (who is 50 years old, I might add). And, while we’ve spotted merch for The Mandalorian already, we’ll be getting Baby Yoda items soon too!!
According to ComicBook.com, there are current plans by Lucasfilm and Disney to release Baby Yoda merch to stores like Amazon, Kohl’s, Target, Macy’s, Hot Topic, BoxLunch, and Zazzle on top of shopDisney, Disney stores, and Disney Parks.
Although there were a few shirts on Amazon earlier today, they were quickly taken down due to licensing issues.
Why is Disney taking so long to give us all our Baby Yoda needs? Well, series creator Jon Favreau stated, “We really wanted to have it be that you had to watch it yourself, so that every time you watch the show, there are new twists and secrets that come out.”
Hey, we can appreciate a good spoiler ban! Buuut, we also really want some Baby Yoda merch. Hopefully, we’ll be seeing the planned apparel, accessories, and toys (I need an adorable plush) sooner rather than later.
