Many, many changes are either already underway or coming soon to Walt Disney World, as evidenced by Epcot’s massive transformation. As part of this season of change, several new restaurants are coming soon to Disney World — and we wish they would open sooner!
These are SIX upcoming Walt Disney World restaurants we wish were already open!
1. Space 220
Perhaps the most widely anticipated restaurant on this list is Space 220, which is slated to open in Epcot this winter.
This immersive, space-themed restaurant — located adjacent to the park’s Mission: SPACE attraction — will invite guests to travel into space for amazing dining experiences among the stars.
The new space restaurant will be operated by the Patina Restaurant Group, which operates several other restaurants in Walt Disney World including Tutto Italia and Via Napoli in Epcot and Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs. While Disney hasn’t released any menu details, we do know Space 220 will offer internationally-inspired cuisine and more than 1,000 bottles of wine.

2. La Crêperie de Paris
In the summer of 2020, Epcot’s France Pavilion will welcome La Crêperie de Paris (along with Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure).
The new crêperie will feature the cuisine of celebrity chef Jérôme Bocuse, who is also responsible for the Pavilion’s Chefs de France and Monsieur Paul.
With a menu inspired by the Brittany region of France, the new location will offer table service dining as well as a quick-service stop for guests craving savory crepes called galettes and sweet crepes. We are SO ready for this.

3. Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera
On December 16, Disney’s Riviera Resort will open its doors as the newest Disney Vacation Club property (and the first stand-alone DVC Resort in 15 years!). When the resort opens, so will several new dining locations including Bar Riva, Le Petit Cafe, Primo Piatto, and Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera.
Topolino’s Terrace, Riviera’s headlining restaurant, will be located on the resort’s rooftop and will offer views of both Epcot‘s and Hollywood Studios‘ nighttime shows.
It will serve up dishes inspired by Italian and French Riviera regions. Dinner will be a signature dining experience, and breakfast will be a prix-fixe character meal.

The breakfast menu will include items like Sour Cream Waffles and Spiced Sausage Hash, while you’ll be able to try made-from-scratch dishes like Linguini Scampi and Bouillabaisse during dinner.

4. Beatrix
Recently, Disney Springs introduced two new dining options — Sunshine Churros and Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet. And sometime soon, Disney Springs will welcome Disney World’s second location of Ample Hills Creamery in addition to City Works Eatery and Pour House and Beatrix.
Beatrix, owned by Chicago-based Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, will open their first restaurant in Florida in Disney Springs‘ West Side.

5. Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue
Let’s head back over to Epcot’s World Showcase, where Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue is slated to open in the American Adventure Pavilion later this year.
Regal Eagle Smokehouse (which is replacing the recently-closed Liberty Inn) will be a modern barbecue smokehouse with a large smoker preparing food every day on the pavilion’s promenade. You will be able to pair your barbecue with one of the craft brews that will be on tap.

6. Enchanted Rose Lounge
The Grand Floridian Resort’s Beauty and the Beast-themed lounge will open later this year, and now we know that it will be called Enchanted Rose.
The new Enchanted Rose Lounge is replacing what once was Mizner’s Lounge. When the re-imagined lounge opens this fall, guests will be able to experience “the magic and romance” of Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast film. As Disney shared, the lounge will “feature four unique spaces inspired by Belle and the Beast.”
We’ve learned a few new details on Enchanted Rose’s menu. The menu will offer a selection of shareable small bites, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, and more!

While most of these venues are anticipation worthy, the bar replacing Mizner’s at the GF is NOT! As I’ve noted before, children have the overwhelming run of WDW and it’s not the slightest bit unreasonable to expect to have a few places just for adults. Never did a kid say “Mom, let’s go the bar so I can have a Manhattan!” Mizner’s was a beloved part of the GF, with nods to Florida history, and the original watering hole. Whatever replaces it will pale in comparison. Disney needs to get off the kick that everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, needs to have some sort of character tie-in. We’ve already lost Artists Point, now this…what’s next? This is just another example of Disney fixing what isn’t broken. Mizner’s forever!
