The multi year changes include revamping the main entrance, reimagining several dining and shopping locations, adding an all new PLAY pavilion, opening the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster, and bringing a Space themed restaurant to life!

Disney already promised to bring us lots of news about the transformation at this year’s D23 Expo, but we wanted to share some new concept art and what we know so far!

Everyone’s favorite sea-faring Chieftess is getting her own all-new attraction! “Journey of Water” has just been announced, and Disney Parks Blog shared concept art that features the Heart of Te’Fiti Spiral. We hope to learn more about Moana’s new attraction at later panels throughout the expo!

Starting this October, guests can visit the Odyssey Center for a closer look at Epcot’s transformation at an exhibit officially titled “Walt Disney Imagineering presents the Epcot Experience.”

This new exhibit promises to be like nothing that’s ever been in a Disney park — providing a hands-on look at the changes and innovation coming to Epcot.

They Odyssey Center is located near the entrance to World Showcase, in between Test Track and the Mexico Pavilion.

EPCOT D23 DISPLAY

Inside the Disney Parks Pavilion at the D23 Expo, attendees can find this giant model of Epcot. It’s stylized, so it’s not an accurate layout of the park, but it’s fun to look at and attempt to decipher new things on their way!

Also on display are these awesome posters for Epcot locations and attractions — you can even spot some for attractions of the past!

Notice the missing poster with the sign that says “Revealing Sunday”? What could it be!? A new attraction?! A new restaurant?! A new country pavilion in World Showcase?! There’s lots of speculation, but we will just have to (not so) patiently wait until Sunday’s Disney Parks, Experiences and Products presentation! (Find out how you can livestream it here!)

New Epcot merchandise is also on display, featuring a first look at the new logos for the various pavilions around the park. We expect to see these new designs on just about anything you can think of! But honestly, we’re mostly excited about that amazing metallic Mickey ear hat.

So that wraps up everything we’ve learned so far. We cannot wait to see what other news and announcements come from the D23 expo! Stay tuned to find out!
