If you’re a Lion King fan then you know what today is — release day for the re-imagined version of Disney’s animated classic “The Lion King, starring the vocal talents of Donald Glover, Beyonce, James Earl Jones and so many others.

To celebrate, Disney has released a whole line of Lion King-themed merchandise and activities. At Walt Disney World, the lion’s share (see what I did there?) is centered in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but we’ve been finding things all around the parks.

Earlier this week, we announced a new Lion King scavenger hunt in Animal Kingdom, and today we got to try it out for ourselves.

This scavenger hunt works similar to the hunts that are held during Epcot’s festivals, like the Eggstravaganza Scavenger during the Flower and Garden Festival.

For $6.99, you get a hunt map, indicating areas of the park where you will find hidden Lion King figures, along with a set of stickers. As you go around the park, you affix a sticker to the map when you find a character.

When you’ve found all 10 of the characters and complete the hunt, you return the map to the redemption location (Mombasa Marketplace) and receive a special prize!

This fun activity is perfect for kids, and kids at heart, who love to explore Animal Kingdom.

Also at Mombasa Marketplace and Discovery Trading Company in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a brand-new collection of Lion King-themed Dooney & Bourke bags.

The collection features three sizes of the accessories: a large tote ($248), a satchel ($268) and a cross-body bag ($178). These bags are also available online here.

One other item we spotted today was the new Limited Edition Lion King MagicBand.

It’s available at Mombasa Marketplace in Animal Kingdom, but we also found it at Pin Traders at Disney Springs. We expect it will be available at other shops around the World as well.

Also, don’t forget! Special-edition Simba and Nala plush lions are on sale at certain Disney stores, on shopDisney.com, and in select U.S. Disney Parks and Resorts locations. For each special edition lion sold, Disney will donate $5 to the LRF.

Also Disney will Donate $2 to help save the lions when guests ride Kilimanjaro Safaris!  If you find yourself visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom during the opening week of the new live-action version of The Lion King (July 19 -25, 2019), then be sure to hop on Kilimanjaro Safaris. When you do, Disney is going to donate $2 to the Wildlife Conservation Network’s Lion Recovery Fund!  That’s right, Disney will donate $2 for every person who rides this attraction during the week (up to $350,000).

With this small act, you can help Disney and the Wildlife Conservation Network’s Lion Recovery Fund reach the $3 million dollar goal so they can work toward doubling the population of the lions by 2050!
