- What resort do you recommend for large parties?
I recommend staying at a resort with a suite option. These include Deluxe Villas of Disney Vacation Club, the Family Suites at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation. - Can I bring my pet to Disney World?

This really depends on you and your family! Kids can visit Disney World at any age, there may just be limitations to what they can do while they are there depending on their age and height. Keep in mind prices can really fluctuate throughout the year and things are always changing.
Tickets
- Where can I purchase tickets?
Disney World theme park tickets can be purchased online, at your resort, or at Guest Services. - What is a park hopper ticket?
A park hopper ticket is a ticket that allows you to visit multiple Disney World theme parks in one day. You will be able to go to all four parks with the same ticket and there is no limit to the number of times you can enter the park in a day. So, yes you can leave and come back.
- Can children get in for free?
Kids under the age of 3 are free.

Do I need it? FastPasses allow you to ride a particular ride at a certain time without waiting in line. If you are wanting to shave wait times off your trip then, yes, you need them! Click here to read about FastPass+ mistakes you don’t want to make! - How do I get a FastPass?
You can download the My Disney Experience App or you can visit a FastPass kiosk inside the park. - When can I book a FastPass?
FastPasses can be booked 60 days in advance if you are a Disney resort guest. If not, they can be booked 30 days in advance. - Which rides have FastPass?

Resorts
- What is a value resort?
These are typically the cheapest resort option on property. Amenities at value-priced resorts include food courts, pizza delivery, luggage service (hourly), swimming pools, bus transportation. - What is a moderate resort?
Moderate resorts are the middle tier of Disney resorts. Amenities at moderate-priced resorts include full-service restaurants, food courts, room service (limited), luggage service, swimming pools with a slide and hot tub, on-site recreation, bus or boat transportation. - What is a deluxe resort?
These are the most expensive resorts on property. Amenities include full-service restaurants, room service, luggage service, valet parking, swimming pools, beach access, on-site recreation, monorail, boat or bus transportation.

Dining
- Do I need dining reservations?
We suggest getting a reservation for table service locations as it can be difficult to eat at many sit down locations otherwise. - What is the Disney Dining Plan?
The DDP is a way to pay for your dining in advance. There are different levels to the plan depending on what your family needs.

Car Information
- Do I need to bring a car?
You can. Remember parking will be free at the theme parks if you are staying at a Disney resort hotel. However, you will have to pay to park at your Disney resort. Many other area hotels charge for daily parking now, also. - How much does it cost to park? Parking fees vary based on which resort you are staying at and what type of parking you choose at the parks. Also parking at the theme parks is free if you are an Annual Passholder.
- Do I have to pay to park at my Disney resort?
Yes. These prices range based on resort.

Airport Transportation
- Is there a shuttle from the airport to Disney World?
Yes, the Disney Magical Express. - Do you recommend the Disney Magical Express?

Transportation Around Disney World
- Does Disney have free transportation around the parks?
Yes, they do. Disney has boats, monorails, and buses. Soon, there will also be the Disney Skyliner Gondola System.

In the Parks
- What should I bring to Disney World?

Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios all have nightly fireworks, though times can vary. Check your My Disney Experience App to find the daily times! - What shows are there?
Disney has quite a few almost Broadway-caliber shows. A few include the Festival of Fantasy parade, Fantasmic!, Festival of the Lion King, and IllumiNations.

You do have the option to bring your own stroller though you don’t have to. You can rent a stroller while at Disney as well. - What do you recommend for children?

Extra Magic Hours are times Disney sets aside throughout the week for Disney resort guests to enjoy the parks before or after regular park hours. - Are there reusable mugs?
Disney does sell refillable mugs, though they are only to be used at the resorts.
Photography
- What is Disney PhotoPass?
Disney PhotoPass uses Disney photographers stationed throughout the parks who will take photos of you and your group. The photos will be available for purchase later or, if you’re an Annual Passholder, they will be included in your My Disney Experience account. - How do I get my Disney pictures?
Your photos can be found on your My Disney Experience App if you link them with your Magic Band. There are also locations throughout the parks to view your vacation photos. - What is a Memory Maker?
The Memory Maker is an add-on that allows you to download all of your PhotoPass vacation photos for one price. Instead of paying for each photo individually, you will pay a one-time fee and will have access to every PhotoPass photo that you have taken during your trip. - Do I need a Memory Maker?
If you are going to be taking a lot of pictures, we suggest purchasing the Memory Maker.
Characters
- Where can I meet Mickey?
Mickey can be found at all four of the parks and at many character dining locations. - What characters meet in Magic Kingdom?
Ariel, Belle, Beast, Gaston, and Buzz Lightyear are just a few of the characters you can meet daily in Magic Kingdom. - What characters meet in Animal Kingdom?
Pocahantas, Pluto, Goofy, and Daisy and others meet in Animal Kingdom. - What characters meet in Epcot?
Alice, Baymax, Mary Poppins, Joy, and Sadness are a few of the characters that regularly meet in Epcot. - What characters meet in Hollywood Studios?
Characters like BB-8, Chip & Dale, Minnie Mouse, Olaf, and Vampirina meet in Hollywood Studios.
Discounts
- Are there any military discounts?
Yes, Disney offers military discounts at certain resorts and on park tickets. - Does Disney offer Senior Citizen discounts?

Waterparks
- Should I visit a Disney waterpark?
If you love water parks and are looking for a way to stay cool in the summer heat, Disney’s water parks are a great option. - What can I do at Blizzard Beach?

Annual Pass
- Should I purchase an Annual Pass? If you visit the park more than two or three times a year, an Annual Pass is probably worth it. They have a lot of benefits and perks, like discounts on dining.

I miss the days of non expiration tickets. It was nice to buy a 10 day ticket and do several short trips in a year. All of this ridiculous magic your way crap is insane. Disney basically steals your money if you can’t use all of your days. How magical is that? Not to mention charging more to get into MK. Because you know, they really need that extra few bucks.
Didn’t some on site hotels start allowing dogs?

They get most of your money before you ever leave home.
That’s a good point. How about “Have a lot of money.”
That will work. Kind of like saying “have a nice day”. So, when someone says to me, “hey Ken, we’re going to WDW next week.” I will now smile and reply back, “great. Have a lot of money.”
