Did you know that Animal Kingdom actually has MORE Magic Shots than any other park?
We didn’t know either until Disney shared its top 10 Animal Kingdom Magic Shots the other day.
We always have a WILD time snapping photos throughout Animal Kingdom because the park is so lush and green — there are so many incredibly photogenic locations. And what makes photos even more fun is when Disney PhotoPass sprinkles in a little magic with the whimsical Magic Shots. Here are some of the Magic Shots available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom that we think you’ll be wild about!
The Wilderness Explorer Badge Magic Shot can be taken anywhere at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This is a must-take shot for all Wilderness Explorers who know that “the wilderness must be explored!”
You can take the Kevin Magic Shot in front of The Tree of Life. You may also see Kevin wandering through the park greeting guests, so keep your eyes peeled and maybe you can get a photo with her in person!
I’m calling this one the Colors of the Wind Magic Shot because these little leaves are totally from Pocahontas. You can take this photo on Discovery Island, which happens to be where Pocahontas meets most days! Find out more about Animal Kingdom’s character meet-and-greets here.
We’re loving this butterfly shot! You can find this photo opportunity on the bridge leading from Oasis to Discovery Island.
Kaa, the snake from the Jungle Book is also making a Magic Shot appearance! You can find Kaa hanging out in Asia near the bridge leading to Discovery Island.
The hyenas from The Lion King are also creeping their way into Magic Shots in Africa overlooking the Tree of Life.
Speaking of The Lion King, our little friend Kion — Simba’s son and the star of the Disney Junior show The Lion Guard — is another Magic Shot option! You can roar with Kion near the Harambe Market.
Banshees are taking to the sky in the Pandora — World of Avatar Magic Shot!
And…before you enter the park, make sure to snap the Bambi, Flower, and Thumper Magic Shot because it’s simply too cute to pass up!
Over in Dinoland U.S.A., you’ll find a Huey, Dewey, and Louie Magic Shot! We love these little rascals and are so happy to see them making a little Disney photo mischief.
When using the Disney PhotoPass service, make sure to ask the photographers to take a Magic Shot. They don’t always take them, but they should if you ask!
And if you’re just loving these photos and know that you’ll likely be taking many more while visiting the parks, make sure you look into the Memory Maker. This option allows you to download all of your Disney PhotoPass photos for one fee!

We’re so glad we got the photo package on our trip to Disney world. Not only do you get those magic shots, and dozens more from Disney’s photographers with high end cameras, but the magic band system takes photos of you on the actual rides (and sends them instantly to your account) that you could never get with your own camera.
