Disney Channel Star Celebrates Role in New Animated Series

Disney Channel star Brenda Song visited Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride in Disneyland to celebrate her birthday and announce her newest role.

While visiting Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Song announced she will be the lead voice role in “Amphibia,” an animated comedy series premiering this summer on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW.

The new series is currently in production. Song will be voicing 13-year-old Anne Boonchuy, an independent and fearless teen who is magically transported to the fantastical world of Amphibia, a rural marshland full of frog-people.

You may recognize Song as the character London Tipton in Disney Channel’s series “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” its spin-off “The Suite Life on Deck” and “The Suite Life Movie.” She has also starred in several other Disney Channel Original Movies “Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior,” “Stuck in the Suburbs,” “Get A Clue” and “The Ultimate Christmas Present.”

“Amphibia” is created and executive-produced by Annie Award-winning director Matt Braly (Disney’s “Gravity Falls”). The series is a production of Disney Television Animation.
