Giraffe Born on Animal Kingdom’s Kilimanjaro Safaris Savanna

Disney World‘s Animal Kingdom welcomed a very special brand-new addition to the family yesterday.

Masai Giraffe Calf Born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Kilimanjaro Safaris

This “little” one has earned the distinction of being born on Kilimanjaro Safaris savanna — while the attraction was open and operating during the day!

It is too early to tell if this almost 6-foot-tall baby is a boy or girl. But Mom Mara and baby are both healthy and doing well.

The baby and its mom are bonding and are still out on the savanna of Kilimanjaro Safaris. Keep your eyes peeled for them!

Let us know if you ride Kilimanjaro Safaris in the coming days and if you see this brand-new addition to the Animal Kingdom family! While you’re there, you might also want to look for the other recently born giraffe baby, Amira!
