The castle of Disney’s Hollywood Studios is found at the end of Hollywood Blvd. and is a replica of the famous Mann’s Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, California. Since the park opened as the Disney-MGM Studios back in 1989, the theater was home to The Great Movie Ride until the summer of 2017. It will become the new home of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway coming sometime in 2019 (as of this writing).

  1. Good pic. One of my favorite rides. After riding it on a vacation, I would get home and watch a lot of old Turner Classic Movies for a week or so. Would love to have one of the props from the ride. I’m thinking John Wayne sitting on his horse would look good in my living room.

    1. Now that would be one cool thing to have! TCM is one of my favorite channels.

I miss this ride but I hope Disney keeps the old Hollywood feel of the streets as they continue to create new adventures in the park.
