Disney’s Freeform Channel is back with their annual Halloween programming — but this year they’re not offering just 13 Nights of Halloween as they have done in the past. This year you’ll be treated to “31 Nights of Halloween”!
Disney fans headed to the theme parks will want to take note of this special programming. For those planning to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World, you’ll discover that the Magic Kingdom is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Halloween classic, “Hocus Pocus”. Freeform is as well!
This year, Freeform will be the exclusive television home for the film “Hocus Pocus”, and will end “31 Nights of Halloween” with an all-day marathon featuring the hauntingly wonderful Sanderson Sisters.
Also marking a huge milestone this year is “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas,” which will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Oct. 29. Those visiting the Disneyland Resort during Halloween Time will see the familiar Jack Skellington, Sally, Oogie Boogie and more at the Haunted Mansion’s holiday overlay.
If you and your family aren’t familiar with these Disney Halloween classics, or if you just can’t get enough of them, this month on Freeform is your chance to get acquainted — or reacquainted — with them, again and again, before you see them in the parks.
Freeform’s other Halloween programming includes a new special sure to appeal to Disney Parks fans: “Decorating Disney: Halloween Magic”. “Decorating Disney: Halloween Magic” will premiere October 14 and give a spooky behind the scenes tour of how Halloween “spirits” spread throughout the Disney parks. From the executive producers of the “Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings” series and last year’s special “Decorating Disney: Holiday Magic,” we’ll learn how the dedicated team of Disney cast members bring Halloween to life with pumpkins, ghosts and ghoulish delights around every corner of these magical destinations.
