Photographic ratios come in many sizes. Most digital SLR cameras follow the 35mm film ratio of 2×3 which many people know as 4×6 or Standard size. The photo of Cinderella Castle at dusk in the Magic Kingdom is shown in the 2×3 ratio. For years it was hard to find frames for this ratio but over the last few years I have seen them in arts and crafts stores as digital cameras have gotten more popular.

Another popular ratio is 4×5 which prints the popular 8×10 size. Many homes have this size in frames on tables and walls. I feel it is a good ratio for photos of people and Disney characters.

A fun and more exotic ratio is the 1×1 or Square. You have to have a good subject to make the square ratio work. I cropped this photo of the front of a t-shirt I found in the World of Disney store at Disney Springs into a square.

A very popular ratio is the 16×9 Panoramic which gives a sweeping view of a scene like this view of Disney’s Animal Kingdom from Expedition: EVEREST which I cropped from a 2×3 original image.
