SeaWorld Orlando fans looking for a deal have one month to claim the theme park’s latest offer — and it’s perfect spring break and summer. Visitors who purchase a SeaWorld annual pass receive a year’s admission to Aquatica for free — if they purchase the pass before April 24.
The cost of the two-park pass deal is $168, which is the current price of a SeaWorld Orlando annual pass. A separate Aquatica annual pass costs $108, so that’s a significant savings. Visitors must pay the total at the time of purchase, but Florida residents also have the option to use the monthly payment program, which does not require a down payment for this deal. (It’s the norm for Orlando theme parks to require an amount equal to one day’s admission for a down payment on annual passes. The balance then can be financed through a monthly payment plan.)
This is the best deal for the SeaWorld Orlando-Aquatica combo pass since Blue Friday, otherwise known as Black Friday to most shoppers, in November. At that time, the combo pass was offered for $180, but it was a Buy One, Get One deal, so customers could purchase two combo passes for $180.
Having annual passes to both SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica means not having to pay for parking at either park, which can really add up. It’s normally $13 per car per visit at Aquatica and $17 per car per visit at SeaWorld for general parking. If you are an annual pass member, you also receive 10 percent off food, beverages and merchandise at both parks and summer camps for children. Plus, Aquatica pass members can get up to three guests admission for half off the regular gate price of $58 throughout the year. SeaWorld pass members also can get their guests a discount on admission, but it usually is not quite as much. However, in recent years, SeaWorld pass members each were invited to bring a friend for free (January and September) and experience other perks throughout the park. See the 2016 perks here.
Pass members also receive other exclusive offers, such as the opportunity to preview new attractions, such as the Mako roller coaster scheduled to open this summer; reserved seating at special events, such as the Fourth of July fireworks; and the gift of an annual Christmas ornament. There are no blockout dates for either park, and regular admission includes the Halloween and Christmas celebrations, as well as other special events, such as Wild Days and Bands, Brew and BBQ.
