Disney Pic of the Week: Tree Of Life

Photographic Innoventions by Scott Thomas

Whether it is your first time visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom or your fiftyish, seeing the Tree Of Life as you come out onto the bridge to cross over to Discovery Island is an amazing experience. I like it as one of the few places in Walt Disney World where you can frame an attraction and wonder where on Earth it is.

Here are a few facts from the AllEars.net page about the Tree of Life:

  • Branches span 165 feet across
  • There are over 100,000 leaves on the tree
  • The trunk is 50 feet wide
  • 20 artists carved into the trunk, branches and roots over 320 animals
  • Thousands worked on the construction of the Tree of Life which took 18 months to build

Lisa will be here on Thursday to share her view of the Disney Pic of the Week on the Tree Of Life.
