I have enjoyed returning to Epcot’s World Showcase going on 30 years this year. The changes over that time have given the perpetual world’s fair renewed life with grand festivals in the Spring and Fall. Musical entertainment in the pavilions and featured acts on the America Gardens Theater stage throughout the year. And the evolution of Illuminations fireworks show which is performed each and every night (weather permitting, of course).
Yet, it still gives my a huge smile when I see a little blond girl in a blue dress dash off into the garden behind the shops looking for a white rabbit. I bet you would to.

Lisa will be here on Thursday to share her Disney Pic of the Week on World Showcase.
Hi Scott, love this picture.
I was lucky enough to be a UK cast member 20 years ago and am heading back there this week to celebrate my 42nd birthday.
Whilst I love seeing Alice in the pavilion, I still miss seeing the characters from Robin Hood. They brightened up many an afternoon for me whilst working on the the old UK Tea Cart.
Great pic though. Thank you
Phil
Scott replies: Phil, I do not remember the Robin Hood gang around but I am sure I saw them back when. I think they had them out recently for one of their limited magic events.
Me too Scott ! I celebrated my 20th birthday at EPCOT in Nov. 1982 right after it opened. Since I live in Florida, I have been lucky enough to go back nearly every year.
The only thing I don’t like about EPCOT is that it is much more crowded now than it was in the 80s—-oh well. I will be back in November of this year to celebrate my niece’s birthday.
Scott replies: I miss the open plazas, too. Most guests did not so Disney put in all the extra landscaping to create sidewalks to make the place seem smaller. Oh, well, time marches on!
