The morning began at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to check out the new Cars meet-and-greet. It’s located between Mama Melrose’s and the Premiere Theater (next to Phineas and Ferb’s meet-and-greet).
At the beginning of the queue, there is a sign that has the meet-and-greet times. Be sure to check the Times Guide and/or the sign during your visit for the most current information.
Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater greet guests. Lightning McQueen occasionally revs his engine.
On our way to Magic Kingdom, we noticed that work on the Grand Floridian’s tennis court has begun.
The tunnel to the right of the train station is still under scrims.

The rock work for The Little Mermaid’s building is still coming along nicely.
Storybook Circus is progressing quickly.
Enchanted Grove is still under scrims.
Beast’s castle the village peaks over the walls.
A scrim wall is up near Pinnochio’s Village Haus.

Any ideas when the new Fantasyland will be finished? We’re heading over to the Magic in September 2012 (it takes a lot of saving to do the trip from the UK!) and I’d like to know what may be available.

Disney has not released specific dates for the Fantasyland expansion. Currently, the first portion(s) are expected to open in “late 2012.” The entire expansion will not be open until sometime in 2013.
do you know whats going on with fantasmic? We are going to be at disneyworld jan 30 2011 thru feb 7 2011 and fantasmic is not on the schedule at all.

Fantasmic! is scheduled to be undergoing refurbishment during that time frame and will not be performed.
in regards to Steve Cummings comment: There IS a mickey cloud in the picture! Good eye! I absolutely LOVE that!! 🙂
