Hello Mike,
This series of Walking Tours has just been heart-stoppingly wonderful for me. I’m not sure what parts I liked best – the new little details and bits of info you gave, which I’d never noticed before, or the photos which took me right back to my very first trip to Epcot in 1985, or the (other) photos which took me back to my most recent trip in December. I’ve often said that Disney World is like a great old friend of mine, and this series was like reading heartfelt, encouraging letters from my friend. (And the timing could not have been better – I’ve had some tough times this year.)
If you ever want to do an encore, or re-visit of any of these pavilions, that would be okay with me. Meanwhile, I wish you many more wonderful visits to the World.
Sincerely,
A.D. Johnson
-Littleton, CO
DizneyMike replies: Wow, what a wonderful comment! I’m sorry to hear about your tough times this year, but happy that my blogs have brought some Disney magic into your life! Thanks for sharing that with us….Mike
Mike, I loved all the walking tours! I have been to Epcot several times, but my next trip is Oct 2010 for a family reunion. I am looking forward to really investigating each country with a fresh set of eyes and renewed excitement. I have shared alot of the information with my other family members and they are also more excited to see all the things we have all rushed through and missed on our other trips. Thanks so much for the great job! Keep up the good work, I love all your blogs. See ya real soon as you and your friends always say! Diane from Ky
DizneyMike replies: Diane, I hope my blogs will add a little to your upcoming trip. The World Showcase pavilions are a fantastic place to explore and spend time with your family. Thanks for the comment and yup, we’ll see you real soon….Mike

DizneyMike replies: Michelle, you know, I keep finding new stuff on almost every visit; and I visit often. Thanks for the comment…Mike
Mike,
Thanks for your Blogs. I learned how much I didn’t know about the Countries, even though I have been many times. I really look forward to going in May and rediscovering each one. Thanks again for your hard work and reporting.
DizneyMike replies: Lynn, thanks for the great comment! I hope your May trip is a magical one…Mike
I loved your walking tour blogs and wish they weren’t over already! I learned so much new information about the different pavilions from them, and I’m excited to check out all that new stuff for myself in May! Thanks for all your hard work and I very much look forward to your blogs in the future!
DizneyMike replies: Laura, I wish there were a couple more countries left for me to do as well. Maybe Disney will oblige and add a couple more. -:) Thanks for the comment and enjoy that May trip….Mike
Thank you for the tours Mike. I have enjoyed each one and I look forward to whatever you turn your attention to next.
DizneyMike replies: Tiffany, thanks for coming along on the tours with me and for the comment….Mike
Mike, I just wanted you to know that, like everyone else, I really enjoyed your walking tours of the pavilion. World Showcase is my favorite area of Walt Disney World, yet after viewing your photos, I never realized how much I have overlooked. We are heading back for a longer trip this summer and hope to dive into each pavilion a little further. (It may be difficult with a 3 and 6 year old but I will try!) Thanks again!
DizneyMike replies: Kristi, thanks to the WDW Imagineers who loaded these pavilions with lots of wonderful things for us to discover. Hopefully you have some time to enjoy them on your upcoming trip. Thanks for the comment….Mike
Mike, I always looked forward to your next walking tour. Epcot is my favorite and even though my family lives in Brandon FL and we go to Disney World about 30-40 times per year there is alot I learned. I really enjoy hearing from others who truly get the “magic” of Disney.
DizneyMike replies: Jim, it’s funny how that as each year goes by and the more I visit, the more I love Epcot as my favorite Disney park. The genius of Disney’s Imagineers to envision that Future World and World Showcase could blend into what it has become today. Just wonderful! Thanks for the comment…Mike
what’s next?
DizneyMike replies: Linda, some upcoming blogs will be on the Flower Power concerts, a Flower and Garden event and a Disney tour. Beyond that I haven’t settled on my next walking tour series. Thanks for asking….Mike
Mike,
I very much enjoyed your your walking tours of the World Showcase. I am glad that you finished them just in time for my vacation there in one week! I have a lot that I want to look at specifically now. Thanks again!
DizneyMike replies: Mark, enjoy that vacation. This is a great time of the year to visit. I hope you have a blast…Mike
Thanks for the walking tours. I made note of things you’ve mention and then looked out for those particular things, when I went this past October. I’m looking to your future blogs about all the parks. All the blogs get me by until I get to the Mouse again.
DizneyMike replies: Erin, glad to you enjoyed the blogs! Thanks for commenting….Mike
Mike: I really enjoy reading not only your walks around World Showcase, but all of your blogs, it´s like being there again. My family and I are going to visit Florida next december and we surely will try to walk the world showcase asi you did, but there are so many things to see and to eat that one day is not enough. Congratulations Mike!!!!
DizneyMike replies: Roberto, you’ll really enjoy WDW in December; it’s just beautiful and very festive! Thanks for the comment, it’s much appreciated….Mike
Mike — Thanks for the tour. Looking forward to seeing what you’ll cover next…
DizneyMike replies: Kimberly, thanks for the comment….Mike
Loved the walking tours!! I actually learned that I have missed a ton of stuff while hastily walking through the World Showcase on my way to get to where I want to go. I know for sure I”m going to look at Japan and China a whole lot more because you did an awesome job describing them!!!
DizneyMike replies: Troy, glad you liked the walking tours. I hope your trip back is in the near future…..Mike
Epcot is my favorite park when we come down for a vacation. Sure the MK has it’s sentimental value and such, but it true Disney fashion they do a great job in making you feel as if you are visiting each country. My wife and I when asked “Have you been to China, or Norway, or England” we answer “YES, at Epcot.”
It looks from alot of the comments that you have enabled people to seek out new things in each country and find things that they never knew were there!
Great Job Mike!!
Now only if you can get Disney to bring those micro brews outside of Canada back!!!
DizneyMike replies; Mike, I keep looking for those micro brews; maybe one of these days. Thanks for the comment….Mike
It seems that the link to Italy takes you to the Outpost instead. Wrong link?
I really enjoyed your walking tours. I can’t wait to see what you do next!
DizneyMike replies: Ashley, thanks for catching and reporting that incorrect link. We’ll get it fixed ASAP. Thanks for the comment….Mike
Hi Mike – great blog series, really enjoyed it! If you’re looking for more ideas, might I suggest walking tours of the other parks? For example, in the MK, through – Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, etc…..
Just a thought! :=)
DizneyMike replies: Kara, thanks for the suggestion and the comment! Both are very much appreciated….Mike
Thank you for your walking tours around Epcot. I did enjoy them!
DizneyMike replies: Kathy, thanks for taking the time to comment; it’s much appreciated….Mike
