So Reunion 2009 has come and gone and rather than give you a drawn out narrative of how things went I’ll give you some quick hits and quick thoughts as to how my days went”¦.get ready to catch your breath.
I Landed at MCO on Thursday morning at 10:30″¦checked into my resort and dropped luggage off to the room before heading to”¦
“¦Trail’s End with some friends. Love this restaurant”¦so comfortable”¦.so quiet”¦.love it”¦enjoyed it until”¦
“¦it was time to head to the Magic Kingdom and we took the boat which was much quicker than the car and”¦
“¦.we went to the Dole Whip Meet where we met familiar and new faces. A wonderful time was had by all”¦including me who enjoyed a green Dole Whip and a few hours of good chatting with friends before”¦
“¦heading over to Pecos Bill’s for “fuel” before Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party which required us to”¦
“¦get our wristbands before heading off to Tomorrowland to watch”¦
“¦.the replacement for “Twas the Night Before Christmas” and that replacement made me long for Twas the Night Before Christmas even more as I headed for the”¦
“¦Holiday Wishes Fireworks meet at the Upper Rose Garden and afterwards”¦
“¦headed for Frontierland to watch the Christmas Parade which I must say was excellent this year and topped off the night by watching”¦
“¦.”Celebrate the Season” in front of the Castle”¦.phew long day because”¦
“¦it started at 4 A.M. and ended 1:30 A.M. Do the math it was a 23:30 hour day.
Friday morning saw brunch at The Land Pavilion before heading over to Spaceship Earth with 60 of my friends”¦from Scagway, Alaska”¦and afterwards taking in some of the EPCOT holiday happenings”¦
“¦no Lights of Winter”¦and landed in Japan for a Kakigori meet which went by real fast because I had to scoot off to get ready to do a podcast at The American Adventure”¦make that two podcasts and then afterwards”¦
“¦had a quiet dinner at the Garden Grove café in the Swan hotel before heading over to an Illuminations dessert party at the Isolata in Italy at the World Showcase”¦.
“¦.and looking at another long day”¦and loving it.
Got up early Saturday morning and had breakfast with friends before heading to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for the AllEars Harumbe/Hidden Mickey Meet and Greet”¦.and then it was”¦on to Tusker House for lunch but not for long because I was”¦
“¦hosting a Beauty and the Beast meet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios”¦.Belle”¦.was not at her best”¦.first time on stage? Could be”¦.afterwards it was”¦
“¦Tower of Terror then”¦Great Movie Ride then”¦American Idol Experience then”¦Star Tours”¦then Muppets”¦then Osborne Lights”¦.with those diffraction grading glasses before”¦
“¦rushing off to Yacht & Beach Club to meet up with some friends and”¦eventually Le Cellier for dinner”¦server spills all the drinks on one of my dining companions”¦.but she survives and so do I to eventually end up that evening”¦
“¦at Port Orleans Riverside and catching the last hour and a half of Ye Haw Bob’s show before returning to my room.
Goodnight.
On Sunday I started the day with breakfast at the Dolphin”¦followed by a bus ride to the Magic Kingdom where I participated in The Disney Pyramid”¦and helped my game partner win the grand prize”¦awesome”¦oh did I mention we were testing a new Disney app for the iPhone”¦before heading to EPCOT and”¦
“¦a Club Cool Meet which got competitive with Beverly”¦.to which I drank 16 cups of that liquid”¦before heading to World Showcase for the World Tour”¦was able to hang for only half the tour before meeting some friends for about 30 minutes before”¦
“¦.hurrying over to restaurant Marrakech for dinner and then afterwards”¦.did the Candlelight Processional and immediately afterwards”¦
“¦rushed over to Italy and the Isolata to attend another dessert party and special magic afterwards”¦
“¦which lead to some goodbyes and some yawns for it was yet another long day.
Monday brought with it a 5 hour walk around the world with friends who “Sipped and Snacked” around World Showcase.
From Epcot”¦a brief stop at the room for a change of clothes”¦then onward to The Magic Kingdom”¦a few attractions here and there and then finally “Kiss Goodnight” to officially end this trip.
Okay”¦where’s that Oxygen?
